LoRaWAN and plan.bee

From consulting and cost estimation to the use case and the complete solution, we support you in your digitalization project.

We design, operate, and monitor the operation of the necessary infrastructure. This can be done in your environment or in the cloud.

  • LoRa network server (LNS)
  • databases and dashboards (e.g. InfluxDB and Grafana)
  • data interfaces and notification services (e.g. MQTT and SMS/WhatsApp)
  • load testing
  • end device and gateway simulation for development purposes

Kubernetes clusters, Docker deployments, or dedicated setups ensure robust operations with high availability and an efficient cost structure.

Occupancy of parking spaces

In the use case of parking spaces, the IT infrastructure provides tailored integrations and user functions.

  • Storage of parking space usage for the past 2 days
  • HTML frame or image for integrating current data into existing websites
  • Push notifications in the WhatsApp messenger through user subscription to the parking area

Live data view on maps

In the use case, the sensor data is displayed and updated live. Historical data can be viewed by clicking on the measurement value, which opens as a pop-up. Additionally, queries can be made via messenger.

  • Optimized storage of the data as time series for later analysis purposes and, for example, data-driven optimizations using "AI"
  • Live data via MQTT WebSocket connection directly in the browser
  • Adjustment of the color display based on a specific measurement value in the setup

Buildings and assets

In the simple use case, a wide variety of sensor data is stored, displayed graphically and statistically, and alerts are configured.

  • Data storage
  • Display of the information in a Grafana dashboard
  • Push notifications triggered by alert rules
  • Sensor examples: power, energy, visitor counting, light intensity
  • Analysis: histograms, e.g., for daily visitor numbers and energy consumption

Support with development

Climatic changes challenge agriculture. Smart Agriculture is a buzzword in this context. We provide support in selecting gateway and sensor locations as well as with experience in operating electronics in harsh environments.

  • Consistent context-aware data collection
  • Develop predictions from simple dashboards and analyses
  • Objective: Microclimatic modeling and prediction to optimize cultivation management
